GET A TAFE CERTIFICATE

We are the only private trainers in Australia audited by TAFE who can provide you with a TAFE Statement of Attainment in Hospitality Operative Skills as well as a Transcript of Results for the TAFENSW module 9542B that relates to the national competency THHBFB12B Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee

Barista Basics Coffee Academy is also a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Registered training organisations (RTOs) are providers and assessors of nationally recognised training. Only RTOs can issue nationally recognised qualifications.  This means we have been fully audited and registered to deliver the national competency THHBFB12B Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee.

Why settle for "schools" that offer certified and accredited certificates/courses only to find they are merely "self accredited" or certified "in-house"?

Each student has their own steam wand and group handle on Italian espresso machines

Small Classes, Multiple Experienced Trainers

Barista Basics Mk1 - 3hrs $120.00

Spend an amazing 3 hours learning about:
* the history of coffee and how it is grown, cultivated, roasted and blended (we were once coffee roasters so we'll ensure your information is correct)
* how to keep coffee fresh (stale coffee = compromised crema and no aroma)
* how to texture milk effectively (creamy, silky, shiny milk - not roadhouse froth)
* how to extract the perfect espresso
* how to adjust the grind to achieve a 30ml pour in 25-30seconds (90% of baristas do not know how to do this, yet it is the cornerstone of espresso)
* how to make all the coffees on an espresso bar menu
* how to perform a full clean of the espresso machine and grinder

Students receive a DVD entitled The Coffee Menu, a written coffee menu, our free ebook: How to get a fun job as a Barista, and a Barista Certificate.

Our courses are HIGHLY PRACTICAL and every student gets their own part of the machine/grinder to work with. Our trainers are all from the cafe industry (past cafe owners and baristas) and have extensive teacher training.

We are the only private training school in Australia who have the ability to offer TAFE certificates and who are also a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

We are one of the only truly independent barista schools in Australia.

Overseas students welcomed.
